Over the years, Britain has become proud of it's homegrown vocalists like
Russell Watson and Joe Longthorne. Now we can add one more name to that
list......Matthew Shaw.
Matthew has hit the UK scene after performing abroad for many years. But now
he's back, and boy does Matthew tick all the right boxes. He is a performer
who oozes 'sheer class' (The Stage Newspaper) with a voice that has no
limits. From Italian Opera to Musical Theatre to Rock and Pop, this is a
charismatic, polished act that has been seen all over the world.....
Matthew has been performing since the grand old age of three on both the
stage and the small screen, and still holds the record as the youngest solo
performer on the Liverpool Empire Theatre stage, a record he is proud of,
even at 26 years old!!

At the age
of 15, Matthew left Performing Arts School to become the youngest Bluecoat
entertainer at Pontin's, Blackpool, an experience and training, that he says
was like gold dust to him. Upon leaving Pontin's, Matthew went on to his
first Summer Season on the Island of Jersey with Jersey International (Dick
Ray).
From 1997- 1999 his Summer's were spent on the high seas. His cruises
included Celebrity USA, Thomson's and the 'SUN VISTA' for Sun Cruises,
Malaysia.
Matt's performances include many pantomimes over the years. After spending
most of the time as the Panto cow (the back to boot), Matthew finally got
his first main part in 'Cinderella' for Qdos. His big break in Pantomime
came when he was asked to understudy comedian Brian Conley at the
Southampton Mayflower Theatre in 1997. After this Matthew went on to play
Dandini in 'Cinders', with the great CANNON & BALL and BRITT EKLAND at the
Belfast Grand Opera House (1998) and again at the New Stoke on Trent Regent
Theatre (1999).
PLA(I)CE' with ITV/Channel Television in Jersey. The programme was watched by more than 150,000 people across the Channel Islands and France.His television credits also include appearing with SHANE RICHIE on ITV/Granada programme 'WAKEY WAKEY, RISE AND SHINE'.

2001-2002
saw Matthew returning to Las Vegas, USA for Hirenotes Inc. (Robert Sigler)
as Lead Vocalist in 'Asuka' for Japan's NYK. For the next four years,
Matthew toured the World as Lead Vocalist in "Spirit of Broadway", a revue
which covered Broadway's hit shows like Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables
and The Rocky Horrow Show.
Matthew has been seen performing in USA (tour and resident), South Africa,
China, UK (tour), Denmark and Holland......to name a few. After completing
the final tour of "Broadway", Matthew was asked by Costa Cruises (Italy) to
perform on the company's maiden voyage to Asia, performing songs from famous
Italian arias and Musical theatre. Late 2006, Matthew was Guest Entertainer
on board the "Celebration" for Thomson's Cruises, on which he received great
revues.
