The Harper Brothers are a comedy duo
who present an amalgam of mainstream variety styles and slightly
more modern comedy. The act is fast-moving, infectiously funny and
surely deserving of some television exposure. There is nothing in
the UK comedy market quite like them and it really would be nice
to see an act like this landing that elusive big break in the TV
market.

'Artiste of the Day'. The revue for Siobhan's performance tell's all

During any other era of television, singer
and entertainer Siobhan Phillips would already have been a huge
star. Aside from the vocals and the comedy patter, Phillips also
revealed skill as a flautist during a version of the Eva Cassidy
arrangement of 'Songbird' which was compelling , beautiful and
deeply moving. I can only concur with the late and great Peter
Hepple, who once wrote that "Siobhan Phillips is the owner of one of
the great British voices of this time or any other". Praise indeed.

held at Warners Resort, Thoresby Hall, Nottinghamshire. The stage

Session.
There's probably no better way to start a Showcall session than with
some flamboyant showmanship, and that's exactly what the audience
got with CULTURE DUB, a very colourful, full-on tribute to Boy
George and his band. They are certainly eye-grabbing, lead singer
Silvio working his way through the audience to get on stage,
launching into 'Do You Really Want to Hurt Me?' as he did so. The
highlight was when their very own Helen Terry - Christalle
Chandelier - belted out 'Church of the Poisoned Mind'. What a voice!

Harper Brothers are now classed as one of the top comedy duo's
